Skin is the universal part of our body. It is the most exposed part of body. As the season changes skin also experience alteration accordingly. The factors that affect body skin involve weather changes, dirt, dust, pollution that can create major skin problem. The skin problems are many and hence to deal these problems raises the need of skin care regime. Skin care means to deal with all the problems related to skin and to prevent it from further problems.

In order to know your skin better and to know its actual problem, you need to know your skin and its mechanism well. Let is briefly study skin and its structure.

The skin forms the major portion of body and holds on to about 15-16% of body weight. It plays important role in maintaining a balance between the external and internal environment of body.

It balances the body temperature through the processes of perspiration and rate of blood circulation that helps in regulating body temperature. The flow of blood takes place through the network of blood vessels inside skin.

It facilitates the eradication of toxic waste products and also water from body. Any type of disturbance in this process may lead into skin problems like acne formation, swelling on the body.

In different weather conditions skin too experience difference. In cold conditions skin blood flow rate also falls down considerably. This happens to favor the warm blood to flow to vital organs of body like heart, brain etc.

The skin defense mechanism functions well in invading certain bacteria and viruses from the skin surface. It also proportionate the physical moisture balance of the body by the process of perspiration and secreting oily sebaceous material that act as good lubricating substance to the skin.

Skin also act as good shock resistance to sensitive tissues underneath. Similarly skin also needs to be slender and smooth to stretch for easy movement.

The nerves underneath the skin make us aware of sensations of heat, cold and pain.

When we study about the skin it reveals that apart from internal nourishment, it also requires external application of essential ingredients. These ingredients work effectively to fulfill the necessary needs that skin becomes deficient off when exposed to extreme conditions.

Therefore in order to maintain the skin beauty in different conditions you need to take active care of your skin.

The tips given below will help you to maintain good skin texture:

The skin is the major portion of the body that is mostly exposed to external environment. The popular skin care step involves cleaning, toning, moisturizing and conditioning.

Cleansing is preliminary and important step in skin care. When skin gets exposed to external environment the dust, dirt and harmful elements get deposited on the external layer of skin and may enter skin and cause major problems.

Once the skin is cleansed with proper cleanser, it needs to be toned. Toning activates skin smooth blood circulation as well as widens skin pores. This is helpful for better moisturizing. Moisturizing after it with opened skin pores will help to moisturize skin from within. This will favor essential ingredients present in moisturizers to enter the skin pores and cause fruitful effect for longer period of time.

However, skin care should be taken with proper and effective means that will help you to maintain your skin beauty.

Introduction

Epilepsy can cause strange sensations, emotions and behavior or sometimes convulsions, muscle spasms, and loss of consciousness. The reason for these abnormalities in behavior is the disturbance of the normal pattern of neuronal activity. In an epileptic person, clusters of nerve cells, or neurons, in the brain sometimes signal abnormally. A person may have a seizure and still may not be a victim of epilepsy. This is so because many people , for example children with high fevers, experience one seizure and then never have another one. Doctors classify a person as epileptic only when a person has had two or more seizures. EEGs and brain scans are often resorted to for confirmation of epilepsy. Likelihood of suffering from epilepsy is highest during childhood and above the age of 65.

Generally, persons with epilepsy have same type of seizure each time i.e. symptoms are similar from episode to episode. But in some cases, patients have different types of seizures, with different symptoms each time. Seizures are classified as partial or generalized. The basis for this classification is the magnitude of abnormality of the brain activity at its beginning. Partial seizures or focal seizures are the ones that result from abnormal activity in just one part of the brain. Generalized seizures on the other hand, seem to involve all of the brain. There are cases too when seizures begin in one part of the brain and then spread to rest of the brain.

Cause

The causes that could lead to epilepsy are many. Seizures can be caused by anything that disturbs the normal pattern of neuron activity. This could be some illness, brain damage, abnormal brain development,…Epilepsy can develop because of some abnormality in brain wiring, an imbalance of neurotransmitters, or some combination of these factors. There are cases, though very rare, when epilepsy is caused by a tumor in the brain. In about half of all the sufferers, epilepsy has no identifiable cause.

Treatment

Parents should watch out for signs of epilepsy and thus help in early diagnosis of epilepsy. Modern medicines and surgical techniques can control seizures in about 80% of cases. A word
of caution here: some antiepileptic drugs can interfere with efficacy of oral contraceptives. Besides, all epilepsy medications have some side effects, which could be mild fatigue, dizziness, and weight gain. The side effects could be more severe and include depression, skin rashes, loss of coordination, speech problems and extreme fatigue.

A person who is meditating uses certain techniques, such as focusing attention, an open attitude toward distracting thoughts and emotions and a specific posture. One can meditate for different reasons like relaxation, mental calmness, and to cope with one or more diseases and conditions; psychological balance; and for overall wellness.

Purpose Of Meditation

Many people practice meditation for a number of health-related purposes.
Till today, it is not known completely, what changes occur in the body during meditation; whether they influence health or not; and, if it does, how.

Meditation refers to a group of techniques, most of which started in Eastern religious or spiritual traditions. These techniques have been accepted by many different cultures throughout the world for thousands of years. Many people take the help of meditation outside of its traditional religious, for their good health and wellness purposes.

Through meditation, a person learns to focus his attention, increase concentration and suspend the stream of thoughts that normally occupy the mind. This practice helps to attain greater physical relaxation, mental calmness, and psychological balance.

Meditation can change person’s relation between flow of emotions and thoughts in the mind.

Most types of meditation have four main elements in common:

A quiet And Calm Location

Many of them prefer a quiet and calm place with minimum distractions. This can be helpful for starters. People who have been practicing meditation for a longer period of time develop the ability to meditate in public places, like waiting rooms or buses.

A specific, Comfortable Posture

Meditation can be done while standing, sitting, walking, lying down, or in other positions. There is no perfect posture for meditation. One meditates according to his or her comfort.

A Focus Of Attention

Focusing attention is a part of meditation. For example, the meditator may focus on a mantra, an object, or the breath.

An Open Attitude

Open attitude means letting distractions come and go naturally without stopping to think about them or getting disturbed. If the thoughts wander then they should be brought back to focus.

Meditation For Health Purposes

Meditation can be also practiced for good health:
Through meditation the brain, the rest of the body, the mind, and behavior become interacted. Meditation can affect emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral factors.

There are also people use meditation for various health problems, like anxiety, pain, depression, NCCAM-3 and self-esteem problems, stress, insomnia, physical or emotional symptoms that may be related with chronic illnesses, such as: Cardiovascular (heart) disease, HIV/AIDS, Cancer.
Meditation is also used for overall wellness

What Is Jaundice?

Jaundice, a yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, is not a disease itself but a symptom of an underlying disorder. The discoloration occurs when excessive amounts of the body pigment bilirubin accumulate in the bloodstream. Normally bilirubin — a natural byproduct of the breakdown of red blood cells in the liver — mixes with the digestive juice bile and passes harmlessly out of the body through the digestive tract. But if the liver is not functioning properly or the passage of bile is obstructed (perhaps by gallstones), bilirubin backs up into the blood. Jaundice in newborns and very young children, in most cases, is relatively benign. But in older children and adults it can be a sign of a more serious ailment.

Causes

Jaundice indicates the malfunctioning of the liver or the gallbladder due to some other underlying problem. The diseases that can cause jaundice in a person are:-

Hepatitis

Cirrhosis

Tumors in the liver or gallbladder

Gallstones

Jaundice can also be caused due to proliferation of the liver due to excessive drug intake, alcohol abuse or smoking. Sometimes, jaundice is a result of wrong techniques adopted during blood transfusion. Etiologically speaking, jaundice occurs when the bile cannot be ejected from the body of a person. In a normal human body, the red blood corpuscles in the body continuously break down after some time. When this happens, the heme of the hemoglobin undergoes two important conversions. In the spleen, heme is converted to a greenish yellow substance known as bilirubin and in the liver, heme is converted to hepatocytes. Bilirubin goes to the liver where it is processed into bile. Bile is necessary for digestion. The excess bilirubin is discarded with fecal matter. However, if this bilirubin cannot be discarded, then it remains in the bloodstream causing yellowness of the skin. This is the onset of jaundice.

Prevention

The most important step in prevention of Hepatitis B infection is vaccination. Three doses of the vaccine need to be given at intervals of one month each or alternately two doses may be given at monthly intervals followed by the third dose at the sixth month. The immunity lasts for five years and booster doses are required after that period. It is important to avoid causes of liver disease such as alcohol abuse, drugs, and toxins. Prompt treatment of underlying hepatic disorders or pathology is essential to prevent or minimize permanent damage to the liver.

Treatment

In mild or moderate levels of jaundice, by 5 to 7 days of age the baby will take care of the excess bilirubin on its own. If high levels of jaundice do not clear up, phototherapy – treatment with a special light that helps rid the body of the bilirubin by altering it or making it easier for your baby’s liver to get rid of it – may be prescribed.
More frequent feedings of breast milk or formula to help infants pass the bilirubin in their stools may also be recommended. In rare cases, a blood exchange may be required to give a baby fresh blood and remove the bilirubin.
If your baby develops jaundice that lasts more than a week, your doctor may ask you to temporarily stop breastfeeding. During this time, you can pump your breasts so you can keep producing breast milk and you can start nursing again once the condition has cleared.
If the amount of bilirubin is high, your baby may be readmitted to the hospital for treatment. Once the bilirubin level drops, however, it is unlikely it will increase again.
The cause of jaundice must be determined before treatment can be given. Prescribed therapy is to be followed to treat the underlying cause. Treatment of jaundice depends upon an individual case. In most cases, it is treated with antibiotics, a mild case usually resolves on its own. The disease leaves a lot of weakness in its wake and thus recuperation may take a long time. Generally, the best way to treat jaundice is to correct the underlying cause; the exact remedy depends on the nature and severity of the case.

Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day

Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables (especially green leafy vegetables)

Juice is good (make your own with a juice machine)

Do not drink coffee, alcohol, soda pop, other junk food drinks

Do not eat processed foods white sugar, white flour, etc.

Use stress relief like going for walks in the park

Brown rice and millet are good

Avoid red meat and animal fats

Reduce dairy products cheese, milk, and others

Fast a few days a month

A colon intestinal cleansing is helpful

Get sleep

Exercise light to moderate amounts eg. yoga and stretching are good

Do not smoke and avoid second hand smoke

Dreams have a long history both as a subject of conjecture and as a source of inspiration. Throughout their history, people have sought meaning in dreams or divination through dreams. They have been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep, psychologically as reflections of the subconscious and spiritually as messages from the Almighty or predictions of the future. Many cultures practiced dream incubation, with the intention of cultivating dreams that were prophetic or contained messages from the divine. Jews have a traditional ceremony called hatovat chalom – literally meaning making the dream a good one. Through this rite disturbing dreams can be transformed to give a positive interpretation by a rabbi or a rabbinic court.

Dream Contents:
The content of dreams could be:
(1)Emotions: Anxiety is the most common emotion experienced in dreams. Negative emotions are more common than positive ones. U.S. ranks the highest amongst industrialized nations for aggression in dreams.
(2)Sexual: Sexual dreams occur no more than 90 percent of the time and are more prevalent in young to mid teens. sexual dreams may result in orgasm or nocturnal emission. These are commonly known as wet dreams.
(3)Recurring dreams: Up to 70% of females and 65% of males report recurrent dreams. The term recurrent dream means- same dream narrative is experienced over different occasions of sleep.
(4)Common themes: Content-analysis studies have identified common reported themes in dreams. These include: situations relating to school, being chased, running slowly in place, sexual experiences, falling, arriving too late, a person now alive being dead, teeth falling out, flying, embarrassing moments, failing an examination, not being able to move, not being able to focus vision and car accidents. Twelve percent of people dream only in black and white. people with synesthesia have never reported black-and-white dreaming, and often have a difficult time imagining the idea of dreaming in only black and white.

Other Associated Phenomena:

(1)Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one’s state while dreaming. In this state a person usually has control over characters and the environment of the dream as well as the dreamer’s own actions within the dream. The occurrence of lucid dreaming has been scientifically verified.
(2)Dreams of absent-minded transgression (DAMT): These are dreams wherein the dreamer absentmindedly performs an action that he or she has been trying to stop (one classic example is of a quitting smoker having dreams of lighting a cigarette). One study found a positive association between having these dreams and successfully stopping the behavior.
(3)Dreaming and the ‘ real world’: Dreams can link to actual sensations, such as the incorporation of environmental sounds into dreams such as hearing a phone ringing in a dream while it is ringing in reality, or dreaming of urination while wetting the bed. Except in the case of lucid dreaming, people dream without being aware that they are doing so.
(4)Recalling dreams: The recall of dreams is extremely unreliable, though it is a skill that can be trained. Dreams can usually be recalled if a person is awakened while dreaming.Women tend to have more frequent dream recall than men.
(5)Deja vu:The theory of dealing with dreams indicates that the feeling of having previously seen or experienced something could be attributed to having dreamt about a similar situation or place, and forgetting about it until one seems to be mysteriously reminded of the situation or place while awake.

Purpose of dreams:

The contents and biological purposes of dreams are not fully understood, though they have been a topic of speculation and interest throughout recorded history. The scientific study of dreams is known as oneirology. here is no universally agreed biological definition of dreaming. General observation shows that dreams are strongly associated with rapid eye movement sleep, during which an electroencephalogram shows brain activity to be most like wakefulness.

What It Is:

The word Migraine is French in origin and has its roots in Greek hemicrania. Literally, hemicrania means half the head.Migraine is a neurological syndrome characterized by altered bodily experiences and painful headaches. A typical migraine headache is one-sided and pulsating, lasting 4 to 72 hours. Migraine headache may be accompanied with nausea and vomiting and photophobia( heightened sensitivity to bright lights) . The patient may also complain of hyperacusis( heightened sensitivity to noise). 33% of people who experience migraine get a preceding aura, in which the patient may sense a strange light or unpleasant smell. The episodes of migraine may be triggered by certain foods and beverages( like chocolate or alcohol), stress or menstruation. In some migraine types there are typical features but the headache remains absent, and in children abdominal pain may be a prominent feature. Migraine shows gender bias. Although till the age of puberty, boys and girls are equally likely to suffer from migraine, after puberty the scale becomes tilted. 75% of patients complaining of migraine are from the fairer sex. One curious fact is that migraine seems to disappear during pregnancy.

Causes

The exact cause of migraine has continued to baffle medical fraternity. The most widespread theory is that it is a disorder of the serotonergic control system. There may be genetic factors too. Studies on twins show that genes have a 60 to 65% influence on the development of migraine. Migraine also seems to be related to fluctuating hormonal levels.

Diagnosis

Migraines are difficult to diagnose. This has led to migraines being underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed. International Headache Society has come out with ‘ 5,4,3,2,1 criteria’ for diagnosis of migraine. For migraine with aura, only two attacks are sufficient to justify the diagnosis.

Triggers

Triggers could be behavioral, environmental, infectious, dietary, chemical or hormonal. The medical word for triggers is ‘precipitants’. The triggers could be:

Allergic reaction, smoking , alcohol, skipping meals

Bright Lights, loud noise, and certain odors or perfumes

Physical or emotional stress

Changes in sleep patterns

Treatment

Conventional treatment focuses on three areas: trigger avoidance, symptomatic control, and preventive drugs. Patients who experience migraines often find that the recommended treatments are not 100% effective at preventing migraines, and sometimes may not be effective at all.

Even the local schools are more apprehensive towards quality education. Parents desire promising dialogue for their children’s future. Parents play a key role in motivating their children to a promising future. It is very important, that parents should pay full attention to their child’s educational requirement. They are required to help their children right through the year in reading, completing assignments, helping them to make active participation in various events, assisting moral support to co-ordinate with the teachers and to assort friendly nature with their colleagues.
The latest literature studies researched by “Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory” discovered that, primary involvement of parents is very important in proper development of the child and encourage the school organization to produce quality skilled scholars. Apart from the moral support there are many factors responsible for the success; one of these factors is good nourished diet.

Diet Rich In Nutrition, Also Plays a Significant Role To Success

When we talk about nutritional diet, we consider fully nourished diet which is essential for one’s growth, mentally as well as physically. It is very important to consume healthy diet as it provides energy to work and to think for longer hours, also to strengthen the grasping power and help to keep the brain cool in extreme circumstances. Parents are very much persuasive about their children’s health. Considering these aspects parents pay more attention to their diets. Usually children are very much choosy about whatever food they eat. It is very important for the parents to include cleverly the nutritional food in the diet, in such a way so that the children should enjoy it. Parents should take the extreme steps if required regarding their nutrition diet. Most of the children in the school have hard time to go, as they have to perform various activities. And ingestion of nutritional food becomes a major task regarding growth and development.

Special Nutrition Care Must Be Taken Of Small One’s And Teenagers

Kids & adult are small enough to look after their food nutrition. Therefore special care must be given to them as it is their primary stage of development.
The diet follows the following routine:

The morning diet includes breakfast, which provides energy to the body early morning. As the last food intake was the before night dinner, and the body has been without any food since fortnight. The breakfast will supply required energy to the body till lunch and will help to gain the power to forward the work ahead.
Usually in the morning one feel empty stomach, and needs to stimulate the body by consuming nutritious breakfast.

A child practices various activities, right from the time he or she is awake. One’s breakfast can contain a dough nut with a glass of milk which will stimulate the child’s brain to attend the morning arithmetic or mental studies lecture in the school. Therefore it becomes extreme important to be energized by consuming nutritional diet.

Following Aspects Help In Making The Food More Nutritious:

Always see to it that the offered luxurious food is well versed, rich in nutrition and offer options to the breakfast. As eating habits often depend on one’s mood, it is important to offer choice. Make maximum use of nutritious drinks, like shakes prepared from all types of fruit’s, avoid using essence and artificial food colors. Fruits like orange, pineapple, banana, etc. may provide good source of nutrition. Bread with butter imparts good stimulus for the body. Even breakfast including sandwiches containing fresh green vegetables, and slices of cheese provide a healthy source of fuel to the body. Try mixed fresh fruit custard to take after breakfast or even after lunch. Include mostly the colorful and enjoyable but nutritious food for the kids.

Meal

After a tiring time in the school children rush home and are ready to take anything which is available in the refrigerator. According to the studies this mentality of the children is found mostly in those children who’ s both the parents are to the job, and have no other option left to quit their hunger. In such cases, parents should fulfill their responsibility by preparing good, nutritious and healthy food, which their children may enjoy as well.

After meal it is important to take nutritious drinks like fruit juices to ease digestion. Healthy food containing egg, fish (rich in vitamins), meat, can provide a good source of nutrition. Avoid canned food which may be harm the body weight, as it may decrease the nutrition value of the food.
One can use some liter foodstuffs for who took heavy breakfast and has little hunger left. For that purpose one can provide some eatables like popcorns, smooth salty biscuits, yogurt, even milk products, fruit cocktail, coconut chips, banana chips etc.

Paste list on the refrigerator giving information about the food, snacks etc. Let the child help himself or herself to search for the food it want. Prepare the sandwiches or cookery product of attractive shapes, to fascinate the children, so that they may enjoy the food.
It is certain that when a child has entered the routine diet, there is possibility that it becomes accustomed with the regular diet.

Avoid Enjoying Junk Food:

As junk food is the high source of fats and has a minimum quantity of nutritional values, one should keep away from it. Though it taste pleasant but the ultimate result is; increase in fatness; low nutritional intake causes dullness, inactiveness.

But today’s first choice for younger generation is this so called fast food, which is increasing fast in youth. As per the majority demand, even the restaurants are motivating towards these foodstuffs. The canteens are loosing the demands of nutritious food. It is very pathetic, to know that the future generation, is becoming more prone to these junk foodstuffs rather than the nutritious one.

Late adolescence and early adulthood are peak years for the onset of schizophrenia. These are critical periods in a young adult’s social and vocational development, and they can be severely disrupted by disease onset. A person experiencing schizophrenia may demonstrate symptoms such as disorganized thinking, auditory hallucinations, and delusions. In severe cases, the person may be largely mute, remain motionless in bizarre postures, or exhibit purposeless agitation. Social isolation commonly occurs and may be due to a number of factors. Impairment in social cognition is associated with schizophrenia, as are the active symptoms of paranoia from delusions and hallucinations, and the negative symptoms of apathy . Many people diagnosed with schizophrenia avoid potentially stressful social situations that may exacerbate mental distress. People have written books and made films on this problem. Nobel laureate mathematician John Nash’s life has been captured in book and film “A Beautiful Mind”. Another such book is “Tell me I’m Here” ,written by Australian journalist Anne Deveson. In this book the authoress tells the story of her son’s battle with schizophrenia. This book too was later made into a movie. There is a Marathi film “Devrai” that tries to portray a schizophrenia patient’s behavior, mentality and struggle along with that of his loved ones. Medication, dedication and patience of close relatives finally treats the patient.

Causes

Though schizophrenia seems to have genetic origin, its exact cause is still not understood by the medical fraternity. Besides there are no pathological lab tests
to diagnose schizophrenia. Doctors have to rely on accounts of patients and close ones to affirm schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is most likely to manifest itself
in boys in the age group of 20-26 and girls in 24-32 years.
Though schizophrenia can’t be diagnosed by lab tests, still psychiatrists do recommend some pathological tests to patient to confirm the disease. There have also been findings of differences in the size and structure of certain brain areas in schizophrenia, starting with the discovery of ventricular enlargement in those for whom negative symptoms were most prominent. However, this has not proven particularly reliable on the level of the individual person, with considerable variation between patients. More recent studies have shown various differences in brain structure between people with and without diagnoses of schizophrenia. While brain structure changes have been found in people diagnosed with schizophrenia who have never been treated with antipsychotic drugs there is evidence that the medication itself might cause additional changes in the brain’s structure. However, as with earlier studies, many of these differences are only reliably detected when comparing groups of people, and are unlikely to predict any differences in brain structure of an individual person with schizophrenia. This is because, there are other diseases that have symptoms that can be confused as those of schizophrenia.

Living in an urban environment has been consistently found to be a risk factor for schizophrenia. Social disadvantage has been found to be a risk factor, including poverty and migration related to social adversity, racial discrimination, family dysfunction, unemployment or poor housing conditions. Childhood experiences of abuse or trauma have also been implicated as risk factors for a diagnosis of schizophrenia later in life. Parenting is not held responsible for schizophrenia but unsupportive dysfunctional relationships may contribute to an increased risk.

Cure

Till date, medical science has not been able to come out with any definite and sure-shot cure of schizophrenia. This is basically because, unlike other
‘diseases’, schizophrenia is not caused by any virus or bacteria or any other microorganism. In fact , even diagnosis of schizophrenia is a highly debatable
issue with psychiatrists facing lot of criticism over this issue. According to one study, when diagnosis of two psychiatrists were compared, they were found
to be agreeing in only 65% of the cases.
Still, there is a ray of hope. There are medicines that can control schizophrenia to some extent. These medicines when coupled with love of near ones can go a long way in fighting schizophrenia.

People practice meditation for various reasons. Meditation helps to maintain relation between mind body and soul. Meditation is helps to control stress, anxiety. It helps to maintain psychological balance; to cope with one or more diseases and conditions; and for overall wellness.

Meditation- It’s Meaning

Meditation is a very old technique which started in Eastern religious and spiritual traditions. People of many other traditions have adopted it world wide. Today, many people use meditation outside of its traditional religious or cultural settings, for health and wellness purposes. Meditation teaches you to control your complete mind, body and soul. Practice of meditation result in a state of greater physical relaxation, mental calmness, and psychological balance.

Four Common Elements Of Meditation

Select A Quiet Location
If you are a beginner you should try to select a quiet place to meditate where you face very less distraction. People who have been practicing meditation for a longer period of time sometimes develop the ability to meditate in public places, like waiting rooms or buses.

Sit In A Comfortable Posture

While sitting for meditation you should sit in a comfortable posture. If you are a person who practices meditation from a very longtime you can always meditate while you are walking, sitting or doing something or traveling.

Be Focused

Try to be focused and do not let your mind divert. Focusing is a very important part of meditation. For example, the meditator may focus on a mantra (a specially chosen word or set of words), an object, or the breath.

Have An Open Attitude

When you meditate do not let your mind distract from the focus. If your thoughts start wandering drag them back to your point of focus. You may also attain a stage where you will learn to observe the rising and falling of thoughts and emotions as they spontaneously occur.

Meditation For Health

In this type of meditation one focuses on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, with the intent to use the mind to affect physical functioning and promote health. Examples include meditation and yoga.

Through meditation you can have interaction among the brain, the rest of the body, the mind, and behavior.

Meditation can be used for various health problems, such as:

Depression
Stress
Mood and self-esteem problems
Insomnia
Cardiovascular (heart) disease
HIV/AIDS
Physical or emotional symptoms that may be associated with chronic illnesses and their treatment, such as:
Cancer
