Hypnosis – Hypnosis to Discover Your True Self Within

For many people, true self indicates our personality. For people that are dedicated to reaching personal enlightenment through discovery of the true self, it can mean much more, and hypnosis is often involved. We can refer to our true selves by many different names. Depending on your specific spiritual beliefs, you could call it your spirit or your soul for example. Other people may refer to it as a higher self, which indicates that it is the part of who they are that relates or resembles most closely the higher power that they believe in. Whatever name you personally know it by, it is something that you can discover or can come to understand more fully through the act of hypnosis.

HypnosisWe often find ourselves standing in awe of people who are enlightened spiritually because these are the people that truly radiate peace and love. They do not indulge in any unnecessary fears, and they tend to exude a sense of serenity that is almost palpable. These are similar characteristics that we recognize in innocent children because they have not yet been through all of the trials and tribulations of life, and so their world view is not yet obstructed by learned limitations and fears. They believe that they are capable of doing anything that they can set their mind to. We often dismiss these as childlike beliefs, but this is exactly what we should be striving to obtain in trying to find ourselves which we can accomplish when we try hypnosis.

Consider the attitude of a small child. Small children have been born with this type of view of how the world works. When they grow up, they begin to understand that everyone has limitations. For example, a person cannot fly, and they cannot simply hold their breath forever without eventually fainting. In obvious instances, these are correct instances, but many of these teachings are also indirect because children see and hear their parents talking about work and daily life, and these create negative views of the world. From infancy onward, then, the child is instilled with a sense that the world is negative and dangerous, ultimately something that they should fear.

Hypnosis can be used to help someone find their true self, because reconnecting with the true self can help us to become happier and even more productive in our lives. This type of hypnosis is similar to any other, and so you should begin in a quiet space with no distractions or background noise. After relaxing completely, you will be guided by the hypnotherapist into a deeper relaxation level, the hypnosis trance state. In this state you will be able to get in touch with your mind on a subconscious level, which will allow you to be open to suggestion. No matter what your goals are here, reconnecting with the “true self” is going to allow you to experience pure love and joy through spiritual awakening.
