Skin Care Tips- Preparing for a Big Event

When you have a wedding, graduation, or other major event to attend where you will be in the public eye, it is natural for you to want to protect your skin and keep yourself looking great on your big day. There are many ways to keep your skin in shape so that it can present the best image possible, and you need to be prepared so that you don’t wind up with unwanted blemishes for your big event. Here are some skin care tips to help:

Skin Care Tips-Acne and rosacea are common issues for people, but they can be alleviated with a little help. Try to see a dermatologist about 3-4 months before your event, or sooner if you can. That will help you get a handle on your skin condition so that you can have the best looking skin possible, no matter what you might be dealing with.

-If you have unwanted wrinkles, hair, or excessive sweating, there are solutions. Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, laser treatments, and other injection treatments are out there. However, you should ensure that you have these treatments done at least 3 weeks before the event so that the benefits will be in full swing and the side effects will have resolved themselves accordingly. Make sure that you discuss your plans, timing, and needs with your doctor so that you can make the best decision regarding your facial treatments before the big day.

-When you are considering new cosmetics, you need to check them out well before the day of your event. While something new might be fun, it could also cause a serious skin reaction and you need to make sure that it isn’t going to affect your day. Be sure to try any new cosmetics at least a few days early, if not sooner, to make sure that they are safe for your skin.

-Tanning is always a concern because people want to have a beautiful appearance and a good tan makes many people feel like they look better. However, you need to be careful with tanning and make sure that you protect yourself from the sun so that you can get the results that you deserve when it comes to your appearance. The last thing that you need is a sunburn or a bad reaction to a tanning bed to ruin your event.

-Self-tanners are something that should be used with caution. If you do want to use these products, try them well before the event. That way, you can watch for uneven color, unusual color, and allergic reactions. Experiment ahead of time so that you can figure out exactly how to get the best results and be sure that you are using a product that is safe and effective.

If you arrive at the big day or are getting close and have some kind of emergency, there are generally services that can help you. However, by taking the time to prepare in advance, you will be less likely to have those issues on your big day.
